Gura Gura appointed Maya Hospitality to develop a distinctive drinks concept that encapsulated the unique essence of their new restaurant at The Yards, Covent Garden. This included creating a varied offer across their two floors, each with its own bar.
The scope of work involved the design and logistical planning of the bars and underbar systems, comprehensive consultancy on EPOS, FOH, and other strategic business elements. Additionally, we were tasked with curating an exciting range of cocktails, an impressive selection of spirits, wines, and sparkling beverages.
OUR SOLUTION
The “Underground” concept at Gura Gura bar was designed to captivate cocktail enthusiasts by offering a unique space that celebrated the allure of sharing secrets.
Inspired by the venue’s basement location and Asian underground ingredients, the concept creatively juxtaposed elements from both beneath and above the earth’s surface. This dual-floor setup allowed for a dynamic play with ingredients, minerals, fruits, and vegetables sourced from diverse landscapes.
The drinks and displays were envisioned to be raw, rustic, and visually captivating, using innovative methods and mineral infusions to enhance the sensory experience. The “Underground” menu embraced the inherent duality of the earth, promising a visually and conceptually stimulating experience that elevated Gura Gura’s bar offerings and food pairings.
